Air Fryer Falafels

Apart from the fact you have to soak the chickpeas overnight this is actually a very quick recipe 😃

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup of dried chickpeas soaked overnight
  • 1 small red onion chopped
  • Small bunch of coriander
  • Small bunch of parsley
  • ½ red chilli chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 2 tbsp gram chickpea flour
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • ½ tsp ground coriander
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • Lots of black pepper
  • 1-2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions
 

  • Soak the chickpeas overnight then drain and rinse. Blitz them in a food processor until they are in small pieces.
  • Add all the other ingredients and pulse until fully combined then roll into balls (if you have time put the mixture in the freezer for 10 mins as it makes it easier to roll)
  • Brush or spray with oil and air fry for about 13-14 mins at 180C, turning once

Notes

I’ve air fried them as it’s less oily but the recipe would work well if you prefer to pan or deep fry too. Up to you.
