Description

This Beetroot Rose Latte is a delicious and beautiful pink-hued drink with a delicate balance of earthy beetroot, fragrant rose water, and the creaminess of plant-based milk. A perfect caffeine-free latte that's comforting and nourishing, this drink is easy to prepare and makes a stunning presentation with frothed milk, cocoa nibs, and dried rose petals as garnish.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons Beetroot powder
  • 1 tablespoon Warm water
  • 3 teaspoons Maple syrup
  • 2 teaspoons Rose water
  • ½ cup Unsweetened plant-based milk Milk of choice
  • ¾ cup Soy milk Or any plant-based milk that foams
  • Cocoa nibs For garnish
  • Dried rose petals For garnish

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan, add beetroot powder, warm water, maple syrup, and rose water. Whisk to combine and dissolve the beet mixture.
  • Add 1/2 cup of plant-based milk into the saucepan and warm the mixture over medium heat, stirring often until it’s hot.
  • Pour the hot beetroot milk into a tall mug and set it aside.
  • Froth 1/2 cup of soy milk using a milk frother or a hand-held frother.
  • Gently top the mug of beetroot milk with the frothed soy milk.
  • Garnish with cocoa nibs and dried rose petals before serving.

Notes

  • You can use any plant-based milk that foams well, such as almond or oat milk, instead of soy milk.
  • Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less maple syrup to your taste.
