Ingredients

Oat Base

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¾ cup butter melted

Chocolate Peanut Butter Filling

  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • ½ cup peanut butter creamy

Instructions

Prepare Base

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x9-inch baking pan.
  • In a large bowl, combine oats, flour, brown sugar, baking soda, and salt. Stir in melted butter until well mixed.
  • Press half of the oat mixture firmly into the prepared baking pan and bake for 10 minutes.

Assemble and Bake

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate chips and peanut butter together in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  • Spread the melted chocolate-peanut butter mixture over the baked oat base.
  • Crumble the remaining oat mixture over the chocolate layer.
  • Bake for an additional 15 minutes until the top is lightly golden.

Cool and Serve

  • Allow the bars to cool completely for about 10 minutes before slicing into 12 squares.
