  • 680 g lean ground beef
  • 0.5 large white onion diced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 0.5 tsp red pepper flakes optional
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste
  • 0.5 lime lime juice

Garlic Lime Sauce

  • 0.5 cup nonfat Greek yogurt
  • 2 tbsp light mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tsp chipotle pepper sauce
  • 1 tsp honey optional
  • 1 pinch garlic powder
  • salt to taste

Instructions

Roast the Sweet Potatoes

  • Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F). Toss the cubed sweet potatoes with spices, seasonings, and olive oil spray, then arrange on a baking tray.
  • Roast for 25–30 minutes, flipping once, until tender and lightly browned.

Prepare the Spicy Garlic Beef

  • Cook the onion in olive oil until soft, then brown the ground beef in the same pan.
  • Add garlic, spices, soy sauce, and finish with lime juice. Cook briefly until fragrant.

Make the Sauce

  • Whisk all sauce ingredients together until smooth and well combined.

Assemble the Bowls

  • Divide sweet potatoes and beef between bowls, drizzle with sauce, and add fresh toppings before serving.
