Low-Calorie Beef Keema Curry with Peas
This low-calorie beef keema curry is packed with savory spices and rich flavor. Prepared in one pot with lean ground beef, canned tomatoes, tender peas, and mushrooms, it offers a fast, protein-rich meal. Serve alongside your favorite rice and steamed vegetables for a complete weeknight dinner.
- 250 g lean beef mince 5% fat
- 0.5 medium onion diced
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 1 inch fresh ginger root grated
- 1 tbsp tikka masala spice paste
- 1 can chopped tomatoes 400g
- 1 tsp sweetener
- 50 g frozen peas
- 1.5 tbsp curry powder adjust to taste
- 0.5 cup mushrooms diced
- 1 beef stock cube crushed
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and sauté the onion, ginger, and garlic until softened.
Add the lean beef mince and diced mushrooms to the pan, cooking until the beef begins to brown.
Sprinkle in the crushed beef stock cube, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce.
Pour in the chopped tomatoes, sweetener, curry powder, and tikka masala paste. Stir thoroughly and allow to simmer until the meat is cooked through, adding a splash of water if needed.
Stir in the frozen peas and simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
Serve hot with cooked rice and steamed vegetables.
