Cooking Instructions

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil over medium-high heat. Add the spaghetti and Β½ tablespoon of olive oil. Cook until al dente, about 10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  • In a medium saucepan, heat the remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat until sizzling.
  • Add the ground beef. Cook for 5–7 minutes, stirring and breaking it apart until browned.
  • Add chopped onion and garlic. Cook for another 3–4 minutes until the onion is soft and translucent.
  • Stir in the diced tomatoes, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, sugar, salt, pepper, and chopped parsley. Mix well to combine.
  • Bring the sauce to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer uncovered for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Add the cooked spaghetti to the sauce and toss until evenly coated.
  • Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan and a sprinkle of fresh parsley.

Notes

  • Cook pasta al dente for best texture.
  • The sauce thickens as it simmers; don’t cover the pot during this step.
  • You can prepare the sauce in advance and reheat just before serving.
  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for optimal flavor and melt.
