Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs hard boiled
  • 1 tbsp butter unsalted
  • 1 tbsp garlic minced
  • ¾ cup water
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika smoked or regular
  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 pinch salt
  • 2 tsp honey regular or chili-infused
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • 4 pieces bay leaves

Instructions

Cooking Steps

  • Bring water to a boil in a medium pot. Carefully add eggs and cook for 10 to 11 minutes. Transfer eggs to a bowl of ice water and let cool for 5 minutes. Set aside.
  • Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant and butter is melted.
  • Stir in water, onion powder, paprika, crushed red pepper flakes, garlic powder, salt, honey, dried parsley, and bay leaves. Bring mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer until honey dissolves and broth is heated through. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  • Peel the cooled eggs and place them in a medium bowl. Pour the warm broth over the eggs. You may remove or leave bay leaves in the bowl according to preference.
  • Enjoy the eggs as is, or serve over steamed rice, with garlic bread, or crostini. Optionally garnish with extra red pepper flakes, parsley, or a drizzle of honey.

Notes

  • Use an ice bath to cool eggs quickly for easy peeling.
  • Adjust red pepper flakes and honey to balance heat and sweetness.
  • Bay leaves are optional for serving; remove if preferred.
