Description

Ingredients

Vanilla Layer:

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup sugar

  • 2 tbsp gelatin powder
  • ¼ cup water

Praline Layer:

  • 1 cup pecans chopped
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

Prepare the Vanilla Layer:

  • In a small bowl, sprinkle gelatin over water and let it bloom for 5 minutes.
  • In a saucepan, combine heavy cream and sugar. Heat until the sugar dissolves completely.
  • Remove from heat, add the bloomed gelatin and vanilla extract. Stir until the gelatin is fully dissolved.
  • Pour the mixture into a dessert mold and refrigerate until set, about 2 hours.

Make the Praline:

  • In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add brown sugar and stir until it melts.
  • Add chopped pecans and a pinch of salt. Cook, stirring constantly, until the pecans are coated and the mixture is thickened.
  • Remove from heat, add vanilla extract, and spread the mixture onto a parchment paper to cool. Once cooled, break into small pieces.

Assemble the Dessert:

  • Once the vanilla layer is set, sprinkle the praline pieces over it.
  • If desired, drizzle with caramel sauce or melted chocolate for an extra touch of sweetness.

  • Chill the dessert until ready to serve.
